I am BACK! It's been a crazy beginning to the year, but I'm finally getting settled into my busy schedule. I haven't blogged in awhile and I'm really starting to miss it. Therefore, you can expect to see more blogs from me from now on. So... what have I been up to?
January
The last time I wrote was right before New Year's Eve. January was a crazy month, mostly because it was the start of a new semester at school! If you don't know, I'm studying Fashion Merchandising and I'm also working towards a minor in Marketing. My classes this semester are very demanding, but I've been doing well in all of them (BLESS)!
I focused on my role as a Resident Assistant this month. It's an overwhelming position sometimes, but I put a lot of time and effort into it in January and I think it's been paying off. I really love being a resource to 55 freshmen students whenever they need someone to talk to. I was able to plan some very fun and exciting programs for the rest of the semester and I can't wait to put them into action.
Alsooo... I decided to run for Sigma Chi sweetheart this month! A lot of the brothers insisted that I at least run for the position to see what would happen. A lot of time (and money) this month was spent on crafts, food, and random gifts for the boys. I absolutely love Sigma Chi and I was very excited to be nominated for chapter sweetheart.
February
February is always one of my favorite months. Why? Because I LOVE Valentine's Day! I think it's the best Holiday ever... mostly because I love the cute gifts that fill all of the stores. February started off strong when I took a trip to Dallas for a weekend with my boyfriend, Jake. We went to a lot of restaurants (because food is the most important part of traveling) and several bars. I liked seeing the different neighborhoods that make up the city- it took me back to my summer in New York! Dallas is a super fun city and I hope to return one day.
A lot of time this month was spent campaigning for Sigma Chi's chapter sweetheart. The elections were towards the end of the month, and I actually ended up winning! I'm honored to represent the Epsilon Omega chapter of Sigma Chi here at Ball State. The boys also invited me to Sigma Chi State Day in Indianapolis, where I got to meet brothers from other Indiana schools. I was also nominated by the chapter to run for Sigma Chi International Sweetheart, which is a HUGE honor. It's been an awesome experience and I'm excited to see what else is in store this year as their sweetheart!
March
So that takes us to the current month- March! The first week of March was Ball State's spring break and I spent it in Fort Lauderdale with a lot of friends. I had the time of my life and I enjoyed having an entire week to relax on the beach. I got to meet AOII sisters and Sigma Chi brothers from around the USA, which was super cool!
Now that I'm back in Muncie, I've been very busy but I've also been crazy motivated.
I've done several internship interviews thus far and am waiting to hear back from the companies. I've actually applied to about 80 internships since October but hey- who's stressing? It's a little overwhelming trying to be a student, an RA, a Campus Manager for University Tees, a chapter sweetheart, a sorority girl, and a blogger.. but I've been managing my time just fine!

So that's a quick rundown on what I've been up to the past few weeks. 2017 has been the best year yet and there's still more eventful things approaching. Keep checking my blog for new posts!
