Another week in the books!
On Sunday, I attended the Gay Pride Parade in New York City. It was HUGE and it was so cool! There were hundreds of floats and many of them were dedicated to the Orlando victims. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed celebrating with everyone..
On Monday after work, the other interns and I went to Eggloo in Chinatown. It's a cute little shop that makes giant ice cream cones with Chinese waffles in them. I think the best part is that the topping choices are unlimited- you could get as many toppings as you want! I got an original waffle with vanilla ice cream and Oreos, sprinkles, and chocolate syrup. It was amazing! 10/10 would recommend.
After Eggloo, we walked around Chinatown and stumbled upon Little Italy! It was so cute and there were so many different Italian restaurants. I heard some beautiful Italian accents (I'm seriously a sucker for accents) and I hope to go back soon to actually sit down and eat a real Italian dinner!
On Wednesday, the HBO TV show The Deuce was being filmed outside of our office. James Franco was there and even though I didn't see him, it was still super exciting! The neighborhood was full of old-fashioned cars and extra actors wearing 70's clothes. Apparently the area around my office is a great location to film!
After work, my roomie and I went to the Financial District because I really wanted to see Wall Street. I think it is the coolest thing ever- there's cobblestone roads!! We went to Stone Street and had a lot of fun there.
On Thursday, the other interns and I went to Coney Island for a day-long photo shoot. We took pictures of Nava jewelry all day and also got to go on the rides and eat some great food! I tried the famous Nathan's Hot Dogs and also had a cone from Coney Cones! Who knew that you could get paid to go to a carnival and a beach?! Follow Nava New York on social media to see all of our super cute pictures!
I can't wait for the long July 4th weekend! Check back next week for another update!
