The time has finally come for me to leave the city that I've fallen in love with. Here's how I spent my very last week in New York.
I had to take it somewhat easy last weekend because I had been diagnosed with strep throat and a sinus infection- just my luck!
On Saturday, I went to the Smorgasburg in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's a place where over 70 food vendors gather every single Saturday! It was 90 degrees, but it didn't stop me from trying all sorts of different food from Brooklyn.

After Smorgasburg, I went to Artists & Fleas- a really cool flea market nearby. I bought a super cute choker necklace, a canvas tote, and three wooden paddles that were hand-painted by a local artist! I can't wait to decorate my dorm room with all of the super cool New York souvenirs that I'll be buying this week!
After shopping, I got dinner with my roomie at a restaurant called Trix and then we went out to a place called Larry Lawrence. It was a fun day in Williamsburg.

On Sunday, I took the subway into Manhattan to visit Kleinfeld Bridal. It's been on my NYC bucket list so I was finally able to cross it off! I hope to maybe "say yes to the dress" here one day!
I also went to the Chelsea Market on Sunday. It's a marketplace full of really fun shops and restaurants! I stumbled upon another Artists & Fleas and bought a super cute customized "I love New York" necklace from a stand called Brooklyn Charm.
Since I was already in Chelsea, I decided to stop by the High Line again! I've been here once before at night, but it's even prettier in the daytime. The High Line is an elevated park that's a few stories above ground. It used to be old train tracks, but they've used the land to create this beautiful park.
I ended my Sunday by crossing another thing off of my NYC Bucket List: dinner at a restaurant in Little Italy. I decided to check out this super cute restaurant called Puglia Ristorante. It was true Italian food and it was delicious!!
Monday was the beginning of my last week in New York. It was such a weird feeling to say "It's my last Monday in the city!". Unfortunately, I didn't get to do anything fun because my room flooded! It rained so hard in New York while I was at work that my entire room had 5 inches of standing water in it. It was a nightmare that I spent the entire evening cleaning up!
On Tuesday, the other interns and I had to prep for our Wednesday photo shoot. This means we had to get our nails done and go shopping (what a hard day!). While we were out shopping for outfits, we stopped at the Magnum bar in SoHo. It was so fun getting to make our own custom bars and the ice cream was delicious.

After work on Tuesday, I went to Pier A Harbor House for dinner down by Battery Park. I finally got to see the Statue of Liberty- even if it was only from a distance!
On Wednesday, we had a big photo shoot at work. It was our last chance to get as many pictures as possible for the company's social media, so we went all out. We started the shoot at Brooklyn Bridge and finished it in Nolita. I finally got to cross "walk the Brooklyn Bridge" off of my bucket list so I'd call it a successful day!
When the shoot ended, my coworkers and I went to an outdoor movie at a nearby park. We saw '10 Things I Hate About You'- it was such a cute movie.
On Thursday, my work took us to see the Diamond District. Since I work for a jewelry company, it was really cool getting to see where the jewelry supplies come from and how certain pieces are actually produced!

Friday was my last day at my internship. It is crazy to think about how fast this summer has gone by. It feels like my first day was just yesterday! It was a very bittersweet day. After work, the other interns and I hungout in Williamsburg.
Later that night I crossed another thing off my bucket list: Go to a rooftop at night. The city is breath-taking at night and it's even more amazing if you're surrounded by it on a roof!
Saturday was last full day here. I woke up early and went shopping in Manhattan. I bought some t-shirts for my family and two NY baseball hats for myself. I saw Madison Ave., Chinatown, and the Financial District; my favorite spots! When the sun started to set, my roomie and I went to Brooklyn Bridge Park to see the Manhattan skyline. We both started the cry as the night went on because we realized it's the last time we'll see the city this summer.
And on Sunday (today), I am leaving the beautiful New York City. I'm incredibly sad that this adventure is over, but I'm so thankful that it happened. New York taught me to have a tough skin and be an independent person. I also learned to chase my dreams- no matter how crazy they sound. But most importantly; I learned that you can fall in love with places, instead of people.
New York, thank you for the best summer of my life. I am leaving my heart with you today... I'll see you later.
