Dear Riverside Avenue,
You and I have had some memorable times together. It all started during my freshman year, when you welcomed me with open arms. I was a scared and timid freshman, but you guys brought me out of my shell. Today, Riverside Ave. is like a second home to me (right behind my sorority). You've become my number one hangout on the weekends and you've become my "of course that's where I'm going tonight." I've fallen in love with you and I can't get enough. So, here's to you.
Thank you for having houses close to each other so that I can easily frat hop.
Thank you for coordinating pledge rides in the winter when it's too cold to walk home.
Thank you for always being down for a good time- even if it's a Tuesday night.
Thank you for letting me stay over until 4 a.m. on Friday night and then letting me come over at 10 a.m. Saturday morning before tailgate.
Thank you for letting me be the DJ, even though I have no knowledge about rap music.
Thank you for supporting us sorority girls at our philanthropy events, even though you'd rather be sleeping.
Thank you for the constant invites to socials and formals.
Thank you for the rush t-shirts, sweatshirts, and more- I promise I'll get them back to you eventually.
Thank you for providing a fun place for us non-21-year-old's to go on the weekends.
Thank you for introducing me to some of my closest friends.
Sometimes people make fun of me for loving you so much. But I don't mind because there's nothing wrong with loving the place where I feel like I belong. College would suck without you.
Love,
Your favorite frat rat
PS. I'll see you welcome week
